The problem with wellness events

Most corporate wellness is a webinar people mute.

A talk about sleep hygiene. A step challenge that fizzles by week two. A gym benefit nobody uses because nobody was ever taught what to do with it. The intention is right – the format fails, because it tells people to exercise without ever helping them understand fitness.

The Fable Session starts from the opposite idea: every person on your team is a different kind of mover – and understanding that, together, is the event. We're not trainers in this room. We're fitness profilers.

1

Discover

Everyone completes the ten-minute Fable Active assessment before the day, so we arrive with their reports printed and the room already mapped. It maps how each person naturally moves, recovers and relates to training. No fitness level required: it works for the marathoner and the person who hasn't exercised since school.

2

Reveal

Your team's persona map goes up on screen. Nine fitness personas; every team is a mix. Cue the comparisons, the banter, and more than a few "that explains a lot" moments. This is the team-bonding heart of the session.

3

Understand

A guided tour of the fitness landscape: the different kinds of fitness – strength, endurance, mobility, stability, recovery – what each one actually does, which myths to drop, and how the personas in the room naturally relate to each of them.

Why it works

Fitness is the quality with which you live your life.

That's the definition we work from – not reps, not step counts.

Most people were never taught what fitness actually is or how the different kinds work – they were just told to exercise. One session of genuine understanding does more for a team than a year of unused gym benefits. And because the session is about how people live rather than how they perform, everyone in the room is included: the least sporty person on the team usually gets the most out of it.

What your team keeps

Everyone leaves with something they'll actually use.

Individual

A personal fitness profile

Every attendee gets their Fable Active persona, explained – how they're built to move, recover and relate to training. Theirs to keep, no strings attached.

Team

A shared language

"Classic Anchor move" outlives the session. The persona map gives your team a fun, durable vocabulary for how different people work, move and recharge.

Educational

A map of the fitness landscape

The different kinds of fitness, what each one is actually for, and the myths worth dropping – the understanding most people never got before being told to "just exercise."

Inclusive

Nobody put on the spot

No weigh-ins, no fitness tests, nobody training in front of colleagues. The session is built on understanding, not performance – every fitness level is included by design.

Formats

Two ways to run it.

Virtual session

Roughly 60 to 90 minutes · Zoom or Teams · any location

Runs as a lunch-and-learn or wellness-hour slot. Live assessment, team persona reveal, and the fitness-landscape session. Works for distributed and hybrid teams.

In-person workshop

Roughly 60 to 90 minutes · at your office · the full format

The full experience: persona reveal on the big screen, richer discussion time, and persona pair-up moments. The strongest bonding format.

Common questions

What HR and team leads usually ask.

Our team isn't sporty. Will this work?

That's exactly who it's built for. Nobody trains in the session and nobody is assessed on fitness. The assessment is about how each person is built to move and manage energy – the least sporty person in the room usually gets the most out of it.

How many people can join?

The sweet spot is 8–50. Smaller groups get more discussion time; larger groups get a livelier reveal. For companies above 50 we split into multiple sessions or run a department at a time.

Is this a sales pitch in disguise?

No. The session is educational and complete in itself – everyone leaves with their persona report, a starter kit and a genuine understanding of fitness. At the end we mention how people can keep working with us if they want to, and that is it – no pressure, no chasing.

Will people have to exercise?

No. The session is discussion-based with no exercise, so everyone can join in whatever their fitness level.

What do you need from us?

Virtual: a calendar slot and a video call link. In person: a room with a screen. Attendees complete the 10-minute assessment before the day, so they arrive with nothing to prepare. That's it – no equipment, no gym clothes.

What does it cost?

It depends on format and team size – email us and we'll give you a straight answer, including whether a pilot session is currently available.
